Prayer:
Thank you, Lord, that you are the Healer of your people. Grant me, holy Father, that your healing power may flow through my entire being – in my body, in my mind, and in my spirit. Give me the wisdom and the faith to claim your promises, and to know the reality of your healing touch in every area of my life. Grant, holy Father, that I may also so yield my every thought and deed to your will, that you may use me as a channel through which your healing power may flow out into the lives or people round me. In the blessed name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
Thou Art My Helper
Many and lovely are the promises and testimonies in the Bible of God’s always available help to His people in times of need:
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven
and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Psalm 121:1-3
Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed. . . with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. . .
2 Chronicles 32:7-8
Behold, God is mine helper. . .
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.
Psalm 46:1-3
Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
Psalm 33:20-21
Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 124:7-8
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
Psalm 42:5
For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint
Isaiah 50:7
. . . be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Hebrews 13:5-6
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold
thee with the right hand of my righteousness. For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
Isaiah 41:10, 13
Prayers:
Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.
Psalm 30:10
. . . be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
Psalm 22:19
Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me. Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
Psalm 38:21-22
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty and, where
no water is; Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. . . . my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
Psalm 63:1, 3, 5-7
O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low. Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.
Psalm 79:8-9
When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee,Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me . . . thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
