All of our counseling services are reduced compared to traditional therapy. We strive to make quality Biblical counseling as affordable as possible. We have consistently given one-third of our services at an even more reduced rate, or even free of charge. Mission Statement:

We seek to apply the Word of God to every area of life where people are hurting. We are convicted that the Bible has every answer to every problem people face. Our mission is to apply it! We are convicted that every child of God can be free of problems. John 8:32 says, "And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."

Primary Goals:

To introduce counselees, family members, and those who are hurting to Jesus Christ and His healing helping and saving power. (Isaiah 61:1)

To encourage those who are hurting to seek help through biblical counseling.

To show Christians, from God's Word how they can experience freedom in Christ so they can move on to maturity and fruitfulness in their walk of faith. (Gal. 5:1)

To educate Christians to the fact that Christian counseling does help people overcome their problems - whereas secular counseling, for the most part, does not. (Col. 2:6-9)

Basic Beliefs:
We hold to the Independent Baptist beliefs regarding:

Fundamentalist to the Christian faith (not legalism)

Spirit led

Bring the lost to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ

We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, beastiality, incest, fornication, adultry, and pornography are a sinful perversion of God's gift of sex. We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one's gender by surgery or appearance. (Genesis 2:24; 19:5; 26:8-9; Leviticus 18:1-30; Romans 1:26-29; I Corinthians 5:1; 6:9; I Thessalonians 4:1-8; Hebrews 13:4). We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24; Romans 7:2; I Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 5:22-23).

My Pastor Friend,

Do you find these days trying in service for our Lord? When I first started in ministry, I worked full-time and pastored. It was difficult to balance and use my time effectively. As a full-time pastor now with many ministries, I often struggle with balancing and using my time effectively. Also, there are family problems, personal difficulties, attacks of Satan, rebellious children and more taking place in our churches. I often do not have the resources to deal with all the problems that I face as a pastor even though I do my best. Thank God there is an answer available to us now. That answer is Christian Counseling.

Christian Counseling is counseling that uses God's Word and offers hope and answers for people who are having problems. The Bible tells us in Job 10:1 "my soul is weary of my life..." Also, Job 14:1 states "Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble."

Bible-based counseling can be a resource the help you and your ministry. It is refreshing to be able to recommend to you a man who has helped me in my ministry to others and has been loyal to his pastor in doing so. His name is Bro. Rick Nation. Bro. Nation is a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah and has been actively counseling since 1992. His ministry began in our church under my leadership and direction in 1992. The ministry grew, expanded and is now located in downtown Oliver Springs.

Bro. Nation has a Ph. D. from Cornerstone University. Since 1992, there have been over 100 people saved as a result of the Nation's Ministry. Some of those have joined our church. Also, marriages have been saved, individuals have been freed from addiction as well as children and teens finding answers to their problems.

If I had tried to responsibly counsel all of the people Bro. Nation sees, it would have taken away from other minstries. Bro. Nation's ministry can be of help to you no matter what size church you pastor. He can help you through advising you how to counsel your members, advice for your own life, conducting family-oriented revivals, or seminars, etc. Also, his ministry can save you valuable time that you can spend with your family.

I am writing this letter to encourage you to seriously consider networking with this Home Missions Ministry. This ministry is a local church ministry that God has raised up to be of help to pastors, churches, and others.
