Our Mission is three-fold:
Counseling is like evangelism in that counselors and evagelists seek to bring people from the chaos of the darkness in their lives into the Light of Truth found in God's Word. While both would hope for a commitment, both would likewise press for that commitment.
Evangelism primarily focuses upon a person's lack-of-relationship to God (salvation), whereas biblical counseling focuses upon a person's lack growth in character or bondage areas (sanctification). The evangelist is more likely to speak to the masses and the biblical counselor to individuals or small group. Ephesians 4:11-12 states, "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evagelists; and some, pastors and teachers (counselors); For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."
First, Abundant Life Christian Counseling Services offers Biblical counseling for both families (adults, adolescents, and children) and individuals. Children and teens are tought life skills in addition to receiving help to overcome their struggles. We also offer Biblical counseling for engaged couples, people seeking God's will for their lives, God's viewpoint on finances and group meetings to help people become transparent Christians.
Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. Proverbs 11:14
Specifically, Abundant Life helps people through the application of specific Bible truths and principles to help people overcome the chains, pains, and stains from addictiveness.

Second, we share God's love for those who need to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour. We believe evangelization of the lost is our highest calling and have seen people accept God's free gift of salvation.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16-17
Third, our mission is to help reach our world by training others whom God is calling into Biblical counseling through teaching critical thinking skills and academic rigor.
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. True Christian Counseling is the responsibility of the church and Christians in general. God first gave Moses the job and ministry of counseling others, Exodus 18:13-16,20 “And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening. And when Moses; father-in-law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? Why fittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto evening? And Moses said unto his father-in-law, Because the people come unto me to inquire of God: When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws. And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt show them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.” Soon afterwards, it was delegated to others at Jethro’s counsel, Exodus 18:19 “Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God:” but Moses was the main person giving counsel about life from God’s perspective on “...great matters.” Exodus 18:22 “And let them judge the people at all season: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.” In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul counseled, also. He continued the ministry of counseling and helping others from God’s Word, Colossians 1:28 “Whom we preach, warning [counseling] every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect [free] in Christ” author’s emphasis.
Couple Mentoring
The Bible teaches in Titus 2:2-6 that older-mature Christians are to teach the younger. "That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded." In so doing, the younger Christians can learn from experienced and successful couples while increasing the chances of their marriage becoming more successful. Mentoring is a biblical concept taught throughout the Bible, i.e. Moses and Aaron, Paul and Timothy.
God has raised up this Couple Mentoring Ministry to greatly aid you and your marriage to have the most fulfilled and loving marriage as possible.
Couple Mentoring will provide the following:
- Prayer with/for you, your spouse, and your children by phone or in person.
- A kind, compassionate heart to love you and encourage you. We have been there, too!
- Direction and guidance, as God leads, to empower you to live victoriously.
- Scriptural guidance and refocusing to God's ways enabling you and your spouse to be blessed of God as never before.
The mentoring couple does not provide professional counseling.
This mentoring is only available to couples that have completed the process of counseling from ALCCS.
