Dear Nation Family,

I just wanted to take a couple of minutes of my time to wish you a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year. I feel it’s the least I could do considering the freedom I have received at the hands of your ministry. Two Christmases ago, I was an addict, seriously in debt; and although I wasn’t suicidal, I didn’t think my life was worth much either. Not long after that I went to my father for help (something I’m not very good at asking for) and he, in turn, came to you. This Christmas two short years later I’m a couple of months from being debt free, I’m drug free (over a year now) and I know the value of my life according to the Word of God. I’m a member of a Bible teaching church that is full of wonderful friends and family ready to lift you up and share your burdens whenever you are in need. I’m the Wednesday night children’s director at my church and I’ve been entrusted with the task of putting our children’s Christmas program together this year! The Lord has truly blessed me! On top of all this, I will be getting engaged to be married this Christmas too! To a young Christian man who is a member of my church. His parents, my father, and our pastor have all given us their permission, approval, and blessing. We will be beginning pre-marital counseling with our pastor soon (we’ve already gotten the first round from my father!) Living the abundant life is what God intended for every one of us. Unfortunately we have a tendency to believe the lies we are fed and end up in some pretty precarious situations. Without people like you who listen to the Lord’s call to help and follow up with action, a lot of people in pain and spiritual starvation would go on starving - oblivious to the freedoms that are waiting for them in Christ. I know that I too am now on the other side. The Lord has called me to be there for those who are in need, whether they are in total spiritual darkness or whether they are a fellow brother or sister in Christ in need of a listening ear and a sturdy shoulder to lean on. Mr. and Mrs. Nation, I hope that you know that when you help one in need (like me!), than as the chain builds, you are or could actually be helping thousands! I pray for your family and your ministry every day and I also thank the Lord every for the same, and I just wanted you to know first hand that you truly are a blessing from the Lord for many people and your work does not go unnoticed! Thanks so much for everything! I’ll be keeping in touch every now and then!
