Nation There is nothing more painful than broken relationships. Of all the pain we can experience, as people, relationship pain is the most severe. People have told me the death of a child, divorce, separation and death of other loved ones and friends cause the most severe pain in life. Maybe you have experienced some of these very painful moments and are still grieving the loss of these relationships. When an important relationship is severed, immediately we begin to grieve. It is not uncommon for people to get stuck in the grieving process: denial, anger, bargaining or negotiating, depression, etc., and staying in one for too long constitutes only more pain. However, there is a remedy to heal relationship pain-- God. That’s right-- God! God knows first hand the pain you are facing because His Son faced the most severe of all relationship pain-- death and separation from God (Matthew 27:46). God can and will heal your relationship pain as you seek Him in prayer by giving your pain to Him. Next, ask God to show you in His Word His love for you. By doing so, your pain will begin to heal! Consider the following poem on love and allow God to show you He can heal all relationship pain: LOVE Love is giving with no thought of getting. It is tenderness enfolding with strength to protect. It is forgiveness without further thought of the thing forgiven. It is understanding the thing forgiven. It is understanding of human weakness, with knowledge of the true man shining through. It is quiet in the midst of turmoil. It is trust in God with no thought of self. -copied-
