By Dr. Rickey A. Nation That question has been asked by everyone at some point and time in their life. Having a proper view of God is essential to knowing God. At our Counselling Center, we share who God actually is as He has revealed Himself. Once people see God as He has presented Himself, they begin to allow God to help them with their problems. You can do the same. Mt. 11:21; Ps. 147:4 God is omniscient (all knowing). Ps. 22:3; 33:21 God is holy. Most important attribute (characteristic) of God. Ps. 19:9; 116:5 God is just (righteous). God's character as expressed in His dealings with men. 1 Jn. 3:16; 4:8, 16 God is love. Love must be expressed and demonstrated. God has expressed and demonstrated His love through Jesus. Rom. 3:4; Jn. 14:6 God is true. He is consistent with Himself and everything He does is true. The truthfulness of God is mainly seen in His promises given to you. Isaiah 40: 13-14 God is free. He is independent of everyone and everything. Gen. 1:1 God is omnipotinent (all powerful). Ps. 90:2 : Gen. 21:33 God is infinite and eternal. He is not bound by any limitations. Isaiah 46: 9-10 God is unchangeable and unchanging Jn 3:10 (immutable) Ps. 139: 1-24 God is everywhere (omnipresent) Eph 1, Rom.9 God is sovereign (chief, highest or supreme). Jn. 4:24 God is a Spirit. Ps. 145:8 God is gracious. Ps. 145:8 God is full of compassion. Ps. 145:8 God is slow to anger. Ps. 145:8 God is of great mercy. Ps. 145:8 God is good to all. Study these given Scriptures and begin to apply them to your life. Doing so will enable God to aid you no matter what you are facing. II Corinthians 2:14 “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.”
